Singapore's Competition and Consumer Commission has taken 45 businesses and a fake review provider to task over fabricated online reviews, in an operation reportedly using AI-generated reviews and paid Telegram reviewers at S$5 per post. Tanjong Pagar restaurant Burma Social is among those apologising, saying it regrets buying fake positive reviews after being caught in the probe.
