Stann

Sudan's regular armed forces are gaining the upper hand over the rebel RSF-linked militias, which are reportedly suffering defections and retreating. However, reporting in Domani warns the conflict is far from over and the humanitarian catastrophe continues to worsen despite the military shifts. Observers stress that the army's battlefield advances should not be mistaken for an end to the war, with millions still facing famine and displacement.

In Beauvoisin, in the French Camargue, family, friends and local gardians have paid an emotional tribute to Stann, a 23-year-old who died suddenly. The homage, reported by regional outlet Objectif Gard, highlights the closeness between the young man and the Camargue horseback riding community, which turned out to honour his memory after his disappearance.
