Spring Garden

A photographer in San Diego, California has shared images of an easter lily cactus in full pink bloom, capturing the seasonal flowering typical of the desert garden plant in spring. The photos are being appreciated by gardening and nature enthusiasts, who are celebrating the arrival of spring blossoms in Southern California gardens.

A wildlife observer in the United States describes a morning visit from a brown thrasher, an omnivorous foraging bird, noting it was the first sighting of the year. The previous spring, a pair nested in a shrub right outside the front door, and the sighting is shared alongside photos of the bird among pink blossoms.
