Spotted lanternfly

Michigan officials have confirmed the presence of the invasive spotted lanternfly in Berrien County, in the state's southwest. The pest, which threatens grapevines, fruit trees and other crops, had previously been found in nearby counties, and residents are being asked to report sightings and destroy the insects to slow their spread.
