SDF Public Access Unix System

SDF is a public access Unix system that has been running since 1987, offering free shell accounts to anyone who wants an old-school command line environment. One of the longest-running community computing projects on the internet, it continues to operate decades after most similar systems shut down. Readers are sharing it as a rare surviving piece of early internet culture and a working piece of computing history.
