Principia

A new feature by Katie Neith, edited by Robert Egan, takes a fresh look at Isaac Newton's early years and his path to writing the Principia, the foundational work of classical physics. The piece is being shared alongside the free Project Gutenberg edition of the Principia, giving readers easy access to the original text alongside the modern retrospective.

The maintainer of Principia, an open source physics sandbox game and its community website, says they are considering emailing their local Members of the European Parliament about the EU's proposed KIDS act. They admit they have not yet fully grasped what the proposal would mean for them, but believe it could affect them in their role running the game and its online community, and want to raise concerns directly with lawmakers.
