Pogo-Bot

A hopping robot known as Pogo-Bot has been shown handling all-terrain movement thanks to a new compliant foot design. The flexible foot absorbs impacts during each bounce, letting the robot traverse uneven surfaces that rigid-footed hoppers struggle with. Robotics hobbyists and makers are discussing the mechanical approach and what it means for legged locomotion research.
