Operation Migration

A large turkey operation in northwest Iowa has been hit by bird flu, according to the Des Moines Register. The outbreak comes as fall migration begins, a period when wild birds can carry and spread the virus to commercial flocks. The news is drawing attention among farmers and health officials concerned about the risk of further spread during the migration season.
