Blue Origin has asked the Federal Aviation Administration for approval to launch its New Glenn rocket up to 50 times per year from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The request would represent a major ramp-up from the rocket's current flight rate as the company scales up its heavy-lift program. If approved, the increase would sharply boost launch activity at the Cape and intensify competition with SpaceX in the commercial launch market.
