Developer Samy Fodil has released Musql, an open-source database engine that compiles SQL queries just-in-time. The project's benchmarks claim performance up to 300 times faster than SQLite and 1000 times faster than Turso. The claim of such large speedups over widely used embedded databases is drawing attention and skepticism from developers discussing benchmarks on the repository.
