The Semantic MediaWiki project has released versions 7.3.0 and 7.3.1, both containing security improvements. Version 7.3.1 is the recommended upgrade, adding stricter permission checks, stronger output escaping and protection against resource exhaustion. The maintainers warn that nearly all of the fixed issues also affect older versions, so installations on earlier releases should update promptly.

German wiki software firm BlueSpice (Hallo Welt) has released version 7.0.0 of its migration tool that moves content from Atlassian Confluence to BlueSpice, which is built on MediaWiki. The company says the tool has made huge progress, with performance dramatically improved, and points users to the release notes on GitHub. The update targets organisations leaving Confluence amid interest in open-source alternatives and digital sovereignty.
