Airbus is being discussed in connection with the Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie combat drone and the German Luftwaffe, with talk centring on collaborative combat and the use of artificial intelligence in future air warfare. Commenters frame it as a European, and specifically German, step toward integrating AI-driven unmanned wingmen alongside crewed fighter aircraft in defence planning.

Airbus is set to deliver its XQ-58 Valkyrie combat drone to the German Luftwaffe, marking a step in Europe's push toward collaborative combat using AI-enabled unmanned aircraft. Defense commentators are highlighting the move as a sign of Germany strengthening its air capabilities and of Airbus positioning itself in the emerging market for drones that operate alongside crewed fighter jets.

The German Luftwaffe says it neutralised 114 of 137 Russian drones, according to a report carried by Ukraine's Ukrinform news agency. The figures point to a high interception rate during a recent Russian drone attack, though details on where the engagement took place or whether any drones caused damage remain unclear. The report is circulating on German-language forums focused on the war in Ukraine.
