KPRF

Russian police detained around 65 people at a sanctioned KPRF rally in central Moscow, where protesters chanted "Down with the tsar!", "Freedom for political prisoners!" and "For honest elections!" A separate communist gathering in St Petersburg on the Field of Mars also ended with police questioning. Outlets including Meduza and Novaya Gazeta Europe are covering the detentions, while KPRF officials like Yuri Afonin continue defending the party's pro-recognition stance on the DNR and LNR.
