A 3D artist has recreated remarkably lifelike bubble simulations in Houdini, drawing on published research from Wētā FX on thin-film and bubble dynamics. The work shows iridescent soap-film behaviour, surface tension effects and realistic popping, demonstrating how academic VFX research can be translated into practical artist tools and tutorials for the wider computer graphics community.
