Herald Journal

Journalists at the Daily Herald have won their union election, according to the AFL-CIO, which highlighted the victory in its Service & Solidarity Spotlight series. The win means newsroom staff at the suburban Chicago newspaper will now have formal collective representation. Labor groups are celebrating the result as another sign of ongoing union organizing among journalists across the United States.
