GrayKey

Law enforcement agencies have found a method to bypass the iPhone's automatic inactivity reboot, the security feature that locks devices and makes them harder to access. According to 404 Media, the GrayKey forensic tool can be used to get into phones that would otherwise remain encrypted after the reboot. The report raises fresh questions about the strength of Apple's device protections and the tools police use to unlock seized phones.
