Gmail

A customer has raised concerns about a suspicious-looking email from an Australian bank. The message arrived in Gmail from the generic name "statements", with no sender icon, header image or sign-off, and was described as an unprofessional wall of text with poor punctuation. Notably, it was sent from the domain xyz.bank rather than the bank's website domain xyzbank.com.au, prompting questions about why the bank uses a different address and whether the email is legitimate.
