Claims circulating among iPhone users that the phone charges twice as fast or 'double charges' when USB-C and MagSafe are connected at the same time are wrong. The iPhone manages power internally and draws from whichever source it prioritises, so plugging in both cables does not harm the battery or deliver a double charge.
