El Obeid

Sudan's armed forces said they repelled drone attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan state, and carried out bombardments against RSF positions in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur. The announcements come as the war between the army and the RSF, ongoing since April 2023, continues to grind through Darfur and Kordofan, displacing millions and driving large parts of the country toward famine.
