DiscoverEU

The European Commission is inviting young people turning 18 to apply for a free DiscoverEU travel pass, giving new adults the chance to travel across Europe by rail and explore the continent. The EU-funded programme offers a limited number of passes each application round, and the Commission is promoting the current call to eligible teenagers across member states.

The EU is set to provide 18-year-olds with a free travel pass allowing them to explore Europe by train. The initiative, modelled on the existing DiscoverEU programme, aims to encourage young people to travel across the continent, experience other cultures and learn about Europe firsthand, and is drawing attention as a notable youth mobility measure.
