Developer Dietrich Gebert has released Ponytail, an open-source JavaScript project on GitHub designed to make AI coding agents behave like 'the laziest senior dev in the room.' The tool's guiding philosophy is that the best code is code never written, pushing agents toward minimal solutions instead of over-engineering. It is drawing attention among developers experimenting with AI-assisted programming workflows.
