Ahold Delhaize confirmed on Monday that the outage affecting its websites and apps since 12 October was an attack. The Dutch retail group, which owns Albert Heijn, Delhaize, Food Lion and Stop & Shop, said it took the systems offline itself as a precaution, affecting operations across most of its European and American brands. The company has not detailed the nature of the attack.
