Chicago and suburban Cook County election officials are recruiting poll workers for the November midterm election. Officials typically need thousands of judges of election to staff precincts across the city and suburbs, and recruitment drives usually intensify in the weeks before a major vote. Residents who sign up are generally paid for training and for working on Election Day.
