Committee on Forestry

The European Union is participating in the FAO's Committee on Forestry and the 10th World Forest Week, held at the UN food and agriculture body in Rome. The EU delegation is using the gathering to press its positions on sustainable forest management, deforestation and international forest cooperation. The event brings together governments and experts to set global priorities for forests, and the EU's role there reflects its growing push to link trade and environmental policy.
