ChromeOS

Google is reportedly ending support for ChromeOS two years ahead of its previously announced schedule, shortening the lifespan of Chromebooks and leaving owners with devices that will stop receiving security updates sooner than expected. The report has drawn strong reaction from developers and Chromebook users, who criticize the shortened support window as bad for consumers, schools, and the environment given Chromebooks' popularity in education.
