Carthage

The Illini West boys golf team, based in Carthage, Illinois, has won the state championship, with golfer Nolan Murphy taking the individual runner-up title. Local outlet WGEM reported the victory, celebrating the team's success under the banner 'Champs in Carthage.' The win marks a major achievement for the small-school program and its standout golfer.

Tunisia's Carthage Music Days festival is highlighting the country's homegrown music scene, giving local artists centre stage at one of North Africa's longest-running cultural events. Organisers are betting on domestic talent rather than big international headliners, a choice that has drawn attention across the region's cultural press.
