A 'goccia fredda' — a cold drop weather system — is forecast to form over Spain this weekend, bringing heavy thunderstorms, according to a Spanish meteorologist. The warning follows torrential rains that already flooded parts of Barcelona and Catalonia, where downpours were described as 'drowning' the city. Italians are following the story closely, as similar systems often affect the Mediterranean and Italy.
