Bombo

"California, Here I Come" was interpolated into the Broadway musical Bombo, starring Al Jolson. The song was written by Bud DeSylva, Joseph Meyer and Jolson himself. Jolson recorded it on January 17, 1924, with Isham Jones' Orchestra at Brunswick Records' Chicago studios, and the recording helped make the song one of the enduring standards of the era.
