AutoWarCom

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced the creation of AutoWarCom, a new four-star command dedicated to autonomous warfare, according to Military Times. The move signals a major restructuring of how the Pentagon develops and deploys autonomous military systems, consolidating efforts under a single senior command.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the US military will create an Autonomous Warfare Command, dubbed AutoWarCom, to buy new drones and robotics in what he called the fastest peacetime shift in modern military history. He also pledged that every US base will have its own power supply independent of the grid, signalling a broad push to automate forces.
