Asila Wardak

Afghan women's rights advocate Asila Wardak has been selected for the Vital Voices Global Engage Fellowship. The fellowship supports women leaders worldwide who are working on human rights, advocacy and community change. For Wardak, the recognition highlights the continued efforts of Afghan women to defend their rights and keep their voices heard internationally, even as conditions for women in Afghanistan remain severely restricted under Taliban rule.
