Alhambra

Spencer Gore, one of the lesser-known painters of the Camden Town Group, is drawing fresh attention through his painting Balcony at the Alhambra (1910-11), part of an ongoing series in which a writer shares favourite paintings. The work depicts a view over a theatre balcony and is praised for its debt to nineteenth-century impressionism. Commenters are enjoying rediscovering an underappreciated British modernist.

A photographer shared an image of a cat at the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, tagged as travel and cat photography. The shot appears to have been taken in cool weather, around 4°C, and is being shared with cat and photography communities. It is the kind of lighthearted animal-meets-landmark content that travel and cat lovers circulate widely.
