Albatross

Engineers have unveiled Albatross, a small robot designed to drop from the air, tumble and spin to absorb impact, right itself after landing, and then travel across the ground or water like a wind-blown leaf. The design, highlighted by IEEE Spectrum, mimics passive natural flight to let cheap, unpowered robots scatter sensors over wide or hard-to-reach areas.

Fayetteville band Ponder the Albatross has released its debut full-length album, 'Over Hill and Hollow', working with producer Tedd Hutt, whom the band reportedly viewed as a dream collaborator. The release is being covered by regional press in Northwest Arkansas, drawing attention to the group's first album and its pairing with an established producer.
