AI sorting machine

A new machine that uses artificial intelligence to sort Lego bricks by colour and shape is being presented as a way to keep millions of used bricks out of landfill. The automated sorting system could make large-scale reuse of second-hand Lego viable, an area where manual sorting has previously been too costly. The project is drawing attention for combining computer vision with recycling.
