The Audacity project has released version 4.0.1 of its open-source audio editor, bringing back keyboard shortcuts familiar from Audacity 3 and refining the exporting workflow. The update follows the major Audacity 4 release, whose interface changes drew criticism from long-time users. The patch is being welcomed by the free software and Linux communities as a quick response to that feedback.
