Passwordless authentication via DID signatures. No passwords. No sessions. Nothing to breach.
Arken Auth is a passwordless authentication middleware built around secp256k1 signatures and DIDs. The server issues a one-time nonce; the client signs it with a private key; the server recovers the signer from the signature and verifies it against the DID — no passwords, sessions, or stored secrets. A Rust cryptographic core is exposed via FFI through npm and PyPI packages for Node.js and Python web servers.
Why now: It was recently launched as a Show HN post, pitching an alternative to passwords, JWT/OAuth, and even WebAuthn via portable, self-sovereign identity.
Who it is for: Backend developers (Node.js or Python) who want to add passwordless, stateless authentication to their web APIs.
