airdrop for non-apple devices
omdrop-owl brings AirDrop-style file sharing to Linux machines lacking Apple's Broadcom Wi-Fi chips. It runs AWDL (Apple's wireless protocol) in userspace via OWL on a monitor interface, letting omdrop's sender and receiver work over non-Apple radios like the MediaTek MT7925 while Wi-Fi stays connected.
Why now: It recently appeared and got stars on GitHub for working AirDrop on Framework 13 with the MT7925 card, while Intel cards reportedly fail.
Who it is for: Linux users with compatible Wi-Fi cards who want AirDrop file transfers to and from iPhones.
