eolix/photosuite
A desktop image editor, faithful to classic Adobe Photoshop, with native PSD/PSB compatibility
PhotoSuite is a free desktop image editor built to look and behave exactly like classic Adobe Photoshop (around the CS6 era), with the same panels, shortcuts, and tools. It's built with Tauri v2 and JavaScript, runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows, and claims native 1:1 PSD/PSB file compatibility so existing Photoshop documents open correctly.
Why now: It's drawing attention because the creator of Photopea, the well-known web Photoshop alternative, publicly weighed in on the project — a notable endorsement/comparison moment for a Photoshop clone.
Who it is for: Photoshop users — especially those with muscle memory from older versions — who want a free desktop alternative without relearning a different UI.
