Open Dot is an open-source Mac desktop app running personal AI agents that work autonomously in the background. Each agent (a 'dot') gets its own logged-in browser you can watch and take over, connects to apps like Gmail, Slack and Notion via Composio, asks permission before risky actions, runs on schedules and triggers, can be called by voice, and uses OpenAI or open models via OpenRouter.
Why now: It's an open-source alternative to OpenAI's Dots (launched September 29), which require pricey ChatGPT Pro/Business plans — so interest comes from the launch comparison and hacking together your own version.
