Any window from your Mac, live on your iPhone or iPad. Touch, Apple Pencil, trackpad and keys. Free, open source, no servers.
Sill is a free, open-source tool that mirrors any Mac window—or the whole desktop—onto an iPhone or iPad, letting you interact with it via touch, Apple Pencil, trackpad, or keyboard. The Mac app captures windows with ScreenCaptureKit, encodes them as HEVC using hardware encoding, and streams over local network, USB, direct wireless, or your own VPN like Tailscale. No accounts or servers involved.
Why now: It was featured on Hacker News as a free alternative to remote-desktop apps, with no subscription or intermediary server.
Who it is for: Mac users who want to control or view their Mac from an iPhone or iPad, especially Apple Pencil or dual-iPhone setups.
